Separate Star, Inc. is an independent film production company comprised of
artists pursuing unique visions of the cinema. Any film production effort is
the result of the meshing of hundreds of individual contributions. Here is a
smattering information about a few of the central figures in the
interlocking efforts that comprise Separate Star:


Ardythe Ashley--Ardythe is a film editor (for Separate Star: Trifling With
Fate, Practice to Deceive, Milk & Money), novelist (The Christ of the
Butterflies, In The Country Of The Great King), screenwriter (A Tempest in a
Teapot, Practice to Deceive) and playwright (The Sleeping Dog Lies, An
Original Man With Three Duplicate Copies, The Double-Edged Bed) who
maintains a private psychoanalytic practice specializing in work with

Meredith Bergmann--is the production designer of Separate Star's films and
a sculptor and art critic. She is currently sculpting the Boston Women's
Memorial, a group of sculptures which has the scale, budget and complexity

Michael Bergmann--Founder and President of Separate Star, is an
international award-winning director and screenwriter who has recently taken
